It's considered an adult book, in a good way ;-) She's LDS.
Under the name Janette Rallison, she wrote the teenage chick flick How to Take the Ex Out of Ex-Boyfriend. Yes, I actually read it even though it it is obviously written for teenagers, or perhaps more embarrassingly, written for middle schoolers. I could say I read it because I was trying to find good books for my Beehives, but I won't lie, I read it for me and I loved it. The author has a sense of humor that just speaks to me and though it might make me immature, I still think she is hilarious.
It feels like I'm reading the Disney channel, but I love the Disney Channel.
So if you are ever sick of reading Pride and Prejudice or some other sophisticated piece of literature and you just want to have a good laugh, then totally check out her books. They are definitely for girls, love and all that junk, but sometimes it's nice to read something that doesn't make you think too much. (I get really bored with all the stupid descriptions of settings and situations in so many books.)

Thanks for the great review! You are obviously brilliant and have great literary taste--and you can tell the beehives I said so!
Did you guys just see that! The author, my new hero, just wrote me a comment! I'm so stoked! And I will tell the Beehives. I haven't really told anyone yet, but I actually have been writing a lot lately, like full novels. I would never have the courage to publish, but I really like to write, so to have Mrs./Sister Rallison comment is like amazing. Yea!!!
Wow cool! You had the author comment! Hmmm...I may just have to read those books
